The work often explores the interplay between organic matter and industrial forms. It emphasizes a collaboration with non-human forces and challenges conventional hierarchies and production systems.

Mit Materialien wie Stein, Ton, Lehm und Metall schafft Gea Kalkhof immersive Installationen,
die ökologische, politische und soziale Themen reflektieren. Die Arbeit untersucht häufig das
Zusammenspiel von organischen Materialien und industriellen Formen. Sie betont die
Zusammenarbeit mit nicht-menschlichen Kräften und stellt konventionelle Hierarchien sowie
Produktionssysteme in Frage.
